Store of un-heard Stories /

Laden der un-erhörten GeschichteN (2019)

in collaboration with Rika Weniger and Noah Voelker

Thirty years after the fall of the Wall, Rika Weniger, Burkhard Körner and Noah Voelker - three theater makers from Neubrandenburg, Mittweida (Saxony) and Austin (Texas, USA) - deal with East German history after 1990 and their many (not yet) told stories.

As the ones who left we are returning and open from April 8 to 13, 2019 the Laden der un-erzählten GechichteN / Store of un-heard Stories on the seventh floor of the HKB tower ('Kulturfinger') in the center of Neubrandenburg.

The LADEN is a space we create to facilitate encounters with different people in the cities to have exchanges and hear their unheard stories of the present day, their own experiences of the change after 1990 and to talk about East German identities.

We are also extending the LADEN to outside visits and workshops in schools.

Central between our interlocutors and us theater makers is the encounter: Starting from a short text, an article or even a personal story, we want to invite people to share their own 'un-heard' stories with us.

In June 2019 we will continue the LADEN concept in Mittweida / Saxony.
